Symptom
Controller State: A logical drive is configured with a newer version of the Array Configuration tools than is
currently running. Please obtain a newer version of the Array Configuration tools to configure or diagnose this
controller.
Cause
A logical drive is configured with a newer version of the Array Configuration tools than what is currently
running.
Action
Obtain the latest version of HPE SSA.

Controller State: The array controller contains a volume that was created with a different
version of controller firmware
Symptom
Controller State: The array controller contains a volume that was created with a different version of controller
firmware and is not backward-compatible with the current version of firmware. You may reconfigure the
controller, but the existing configuration and data will be overwritten and potentially lost.
Cause
The volume was created with a version of the controller firmware that is not backward-compatible with the
current version.
Action
1. Upgrade the controller to the latest firmware.

2. If the issue persists, move the configured arrays back to the original controller.
Controller State: The array controller contains more logical drives than are supported in
the current configuration
Symptom
Controller State: The array controller contains more logical drives than are supported in the current
configuration. Any configuration command (e.g. logical drive creation, array expansion, etc.) or modification to
the controller will result in the loss of all existing data on the disabled volume(s).
Cause
The array controller contains more logical drives than are supported in the current configuration.
