Description: The VC management application has determined that the server BIOS version does not support
the minimum capabilities required for Virtual Connect.
Possible cause: The server has a down-rev BIOS version.
Action: Update the BIOS on the server to latest version.
5056 - Unable to release power hold on the server. Unassign and re-assign profile.
Severity: CRITICAL
Description: The Virtual Connect Manager has determined that it was not possible to release the power hold
on the server.
Possible cause: An error occurred while Virtual Connect Manager was attempting to apply a profile to the
server.
Action: Unassign and reassign the profile to the server.
Profile events (6000-6999)
6012 - Profile state FAILED
Severity: CRITICAL
Description: Profile assignment has failed.
Possible cause: EV corruption has occurred on the server.
Action: Physically reseat the server or issue the OA CLI reset server <server number> command.
Then, re-apply the profile. If the issue persists, clear the server BIOS settings, and then re-apply the profile.
6020 - Profile has the same network on two Flex-10 NICs on the same physical port
Severity: CRITICAL
Description: This occurs whenever a profile is applied to a server with Flex-10 NICs and the same Ethernet
Network is on more than one Ethernet connection that is mapped to a Flex-10 physical function on the same
physical port. All physical functions after the first one with the duplicate network will be disabled, and no traffic
will flow on the connection.
Possible cause: A profile is applied to a server and the mapping results in duplicate Ethernet networks on
the same Flex-10 physical port.
Action: Remove the duplicate network from one or more of the Ethernet Connections. The GUI profile editor
will indicate which connections have duplicates.
6021 - Profile has PXE enabled on a non-primary Flex-10 NIC
Severity: MAJOR
Description: PXE is enabled on an Ethernet connection in a profile that is mapped to a non-primary physical
function on a Flex-10 NIC. The current Flex-10 implementation does not allow PXE booting on any but the
first physical function on a Flex-10 NIC port.
Possible cause: PXE is enabled on an Ethernet connection that is mapped to the second, third, or fourth
physical function on a Flex-10 NIC.
Action: Use the GUI to edit the profile and disable PXE on any connections that show PXE is not supported
on them.
6022 - Profile has iSCSI boot enabled on an unsupported Flex-10 NIC
Severity: MAJOR
5056 - Unable to release power hold on the server. Unassign and re-assign
profile. 295
