1. Do one of the following:
Press the F1 key to continue with recovery of data to the drive. Data will be automatically restored to
the drive when a failed drive has been replaced, or to the original drive if it is working again without
errors.
Press the F2 key to continue without recovery of data to the drive. The failed drive will not be rebuilt
and the system will continue to operate in a failed state of Interim Data Recovery Mode.
2. Replace the failed drive and press the F1 key to rebuild the array. If the drive rebuild is not successful or is
aborted because the system rebooted before the rebuild of the drive completed, another version of the
1786 POST error message is displayed.

The following disk drive(s) are mismatched type and should be replaced
The following disk drive(s) are unsupported type and should be replaced
The following disk drive(s) are offline due to the erase process
(Additionally followed by one of the following if a spare drive is activated:)
On-Line Spare Drive is being Activated
On-Line Spare Drive Active
On-Line Spare Drive Failed
Cause
The drive has failed.
The drives are of insufficient size.
The drives are of different types.
The drives are not supported.
The drives are offline.
A cable is not installed correctly.
A cable has failed.
Following a system restart, this message notes that the drive is defective and the logical drive might not be
fault tolerant and may fail if another physical drive fails.
