6 – Power Supply Component Replacement
Replace the magnetics assembly
Replacement transformers and inductors (the magnetics) for this power supply are available only as a complete assembly
with the components already mounted on a metal base plate. You cannot replace individual components.
Remove the magnetics assembly
1. Complete the following procedures:
a. Set the power switch to OFF (O), and disconnect the power cord from the power source.
b. See Remove the power supply cover on page 98.
c. See Remove the component barrier on page 100.
d. See Detach the front panel on page 102.
e. See Detach the rear panel on page 104.
f. See Remove the fan on page 155.
g. See Remove the heat exchange coil on page 157.
h. See Remove the internal compressor on page 160.
2. On the power board side of the power supply, remove the wires for the transformers and inductors. See Figure 86.
a. Remove J13, J14, and J15, located on the front panel end of the power board.
b. Remove J18 and J19, located on the rear panel end of the power board.
c. Remove J20 and J21, located on the bottom center of the power board.
