Resetting Setup Parameters
Setup parameters are reset if:
The ^default command is used.
•The Feed key is held down for more than 3 seconds in Dump
mode.
The printer’s firmware is upgraded using a firmware cartridge.
Some commands may also affect the values of other commands.
For example, if a configuration label is printed, the print
direction is reset to ZT. For help, see “U- Print Configuration
(General)” on page 111. Or, if an R reference point command is
executed, the label width is changed appropriately. For help, see
q - Set Label Width” on page 103.
Example
In this example, the PF8 is set up for direct thermal printing of
full-width thermal top labels in the peel-off mode without the
label taken sensor. The default communication setup and
character set are not changed.
First, change these setup parameters from Direct mode:
Density from 10 to 8
Media feed adjustment from 136 to 110
Label taken sensor from enabled to disabled
Enter the following commands:
Command Explanation
CR/LF to start command structure.
D8 Set density.
j110 Set media feed adjustment for peel-off operation.
ON Disable label taken sensor.
