Things to Check First
Before contacting JNS Customer support about any problems with the receiver,
refer to the following list of basic suggestions that may help:
• Go through all external receiver connections carefully and mak
e su
re they are
not wrong or loose.
• Double-check the cables. Cables became defective more often than the
de
vices do.
• Check the sections below for available solutions.
• Res
et the receiver using PCView (Tools->Res
et receiver).
• Restore factory default settings using PCView (click Configuration-
>Receiver, then Set all parameters to defaults).
• Clear the NVRAM
(see “Clearing the NVRAM” on page 4-17).
• Initialize the file system (click Tools->Initialize file system; thi
s will erase
all files insi
de the receiver).
