Each fan tray is installed vercally on the rear, or FRU side, of the chassis.
To install an MX10004 fan tray:
1. Wrap and fasten one end of the ESD grounding strap around your bare wrist and connect the other
end of the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis (see Figure 67 on page 165).

2. Grasp the top and boom fan tray handles and align the fan tray so that it makes contact with the
side wall.
3. Push the fan tray into place unl it is fully seated.
