Reverse gear
CAUTION
Only engage reverse gear when the vehicle is standing still.
• Only activate and deactivate the reverse gear with the
vehicle standing still.
• Fully depress the clutch pedal at engine idle speed.
• In order to select the R gear shift gate, the R gear locking
mechanism has to be overcome.
• Engage reverse gear smoothly and without force.
• Engage clutch slowly.
NOTE
• Grating noise when activating the reverse gear is not
permissible.
• Only engage reverse gear once the countershaft is standing
still. If the countershaft is not standing still, there will be
grating noises when engaging the reverse gear.
• Runout times differ depending on the operating mode and
may be reduced by short, initial synchronization of 1st gear.
If required, wait longer before actuation.
