7.11 Summer/wintertime adjustment(AFR)
MULTICAL®603isavailablewithconfigurationforDST(DaylightSavingTime~summer/wintertime).Themeter’s
countrycodedeterminestheDST‐configurationalgorithm,so thatitcorrespondstotheDS Tregulationsofthecountry,
forwhichthemeterisintended.IfthemeterisconfiguredwithDSTandyoudonot
wanttouseit,theDST‐function
canbedisabledinthePC‐programMETERTOOLHCW.TheDST‐functionhasdirectinfluenceonthemeter’sinternal
clock andtime‐controlledtarifflimits. Time stampsfor loggingsof events andvalues are savedin standardtime
togetherwithinformationonthe
currentDSToffset.ThecurrentDSToffsetisappliedtoallloggedtimestampswhen
theDSTfunctionisactive,theappliedDSToffsetisremovedfromtimestampsiftheDSTfunctionisdeactivatedinthe
meterandviceversaiftheDSTfunctionisreactivated.
DSTandtariffs:The
time‐controlledtariffisinfluencedbytheDSToffset.Theenteredtarifflimits,forexample,willbe
movedanhourforwardatDSTstartandanhourbackwardsattheendofDST(Danishexample).IftheDSTfunctionis
disabledafteraperiodinoperation,thetimelimitswill
alwaysfollowstandardtime.Accumulatedenergyinthetariff
registersremainsunchangedandthusreflectsthetimelimitswithenabledDST‐function.Thesameappliesviceversa
iftheDST‐functionisreactivated.
DSTandloggers:Theloggingtimefollowsnormaltime.Forexample,ameterwithenabledDST‐function,which
logs
dataat00.00duringwintertime,willlogdataat01.00a.m.duringsummertime(Danishexample).IftheDST‐
functionisdisabledafterdeliveryandhistoricalloggervaluesaresubsequentlyread,theDSToffsetofprevious
valueswillreflectthenewconfigurationandberemovedfromthetime
stamp.Seeexampleinbelowtable.Read
loggingtimeswillalwaysreflectthecurrentDSTstatus.

offsetastwoseparateparameters,oralternativelyfromaregister,whichincludestimecomprisingDSToffsetasa
parameter.If
theDST‐functionisdisabledafterdelivery,informationontheDSToffsetwillberemovedfromtime
stampsrelatedtothehistoricalvalues.
