WithMULTICAL®603,itispossibletoprogram(preset)valuesofthemeter'stemperatureinputs.Theprimaryneed
forprogrammedvaluesisinthecasewhenmeasuringhotwaterenergywherethecoldtemperatureisrequiredto
beprogrammedasitinpracticecannotbemeasured.Readmoreaboutapplicationexamples
inparagraph7.1.In
additiontoprogrammingafixedvalue(preset),itisalsopossibletoprogramavariablevaluethatvariesoverthe12
monthsofayear(Scheduler).Thetablebelowshowswhichtemperatureinputsofwhichmetertypecanbe
programmed.
Note:Thetemperatureinputst1 and
t2arethetwolegalinputs,whichmeansthattheycannotbeprogrammedon
anapprovedheatmeter,coolingmeterorcombinedheat/coolingmeter.


7.13 Differentialenergyandvolumecalculation
MULTICAL®603hasintegrateddifferentialcalculationofenergyandvolume.Theresultofthesecalculationsaresaved
inthefollowingfourregisters:
- dE:differenceEnergy (E4‐E5>0)
- cE:controlEnergy (E4‐E5<0)
- dV:differenceVolume(V1‐V2>0)
- cV:controlVolume (V1‐V2<0)
AllfourregistersareaccumulatedregisterswheredEanddVcountatapositivedifferenceandcEandcVcountata
negativedifference.Areadingofboththedifferenceandthecontrolregistersrevealshowmuchreg istershavebeen
countedwithapositiveornegativedifferenceoveragivenperiod,
thusitispossibletogetinformationabouthow
stablethesystemhasbeenthroughouttheselectedperiod.
The calculations follow the selected integration mode, and the calculations are thus carried out at the selected
integrationinterval.Allfourregisterscanbedisplayedinthemeter'sUSERloopandare
savedinthemeter’sloggers.
