7.2 Measurementofaheatpump'scoefficientofperformance
7.2.1 CoefficientofPerformance(CP)
Inhouseswithheatpumps,withacommonheatcircuit,itisappropriatetomeasureboththereleasedthermalenergy
andthegainedelectricalenergy,bas edonwhichthecoefficientofperformance(COPorCP)canbecalculated.CPis
theabbreviationof“CoefficientOfPerformance”.

Thecalculationisbasedonsimpleproportionalnumbersbetweenthecalculatedthermalenergy(E1)andtheelectrical
energy,whichismeasuredviapulseinputB(InB1):


Theelectricalenergy(InB1)isalwaysregisteredinkWhorMWh,whereasthethermalenergy(E1)iseitherregistered
inkWh,MWh,GcalorGJdependingontheselectedBcode.Nomatterwhichunityou choose,themetercalculates
CPcorrectly.TheCPvalueisdisplayedwithone
decimalandisavalueintheinterval0.0…19.9.
TheCPvaluecanbedisplayed,respectively,asacurrentvalue,amonthlyvalueorayearlyvalue(SCOP,Seasonal
CoefficientOfPerformance).Inaddition,theaveragingperiodofthecurrentCPvalueaswellasthecurrentpower
measuredat
pulseinputB1canbedisplayed.
CurrentCPisaveragedoveranumberofdaysandnightsselectedinthemeter’sconfiguration.Theaveragingperiod
canbeselectedintheinterval5…30daysandnights.Theaveragingperiodissetat7daysandnights,unless
otherwisestatedbythecustomer.

