8 Flowsensorconnection
MULTICAL®603hasupto6pulseinputsforconnectionofflowsensorswhereV1andV2areusedforcalculating
energy, whereas InA1, InB1, InA2 and InB2 can be used for connecting, for example, cold water meters and
electricitymeters.Thenumberofpulseinputsmay
varyaccordingtometerconfiguration.
PulsefigureandresolutionoftheV1andV2inputsareconfiguredviatheCCCcodeinMULTICAL®603.Iftwoflow
sensors are used on V1 and V2, respectively, these two sensors must be identical as the pulse inputs share
configuration.Foranoverview
ofCCCcodes,seeparagraph3.2.3.
Dependingonapplicationtype,MULTICAL®603canbeconnectedtooneortwoflowsensorsforenergycalculation
purposes,seeparagraph7.1forexamplesofapplicationtypes.Typically,oneflowsensorisusedinheatorcooling
installations,thisflowsensorisalwaysconnectedto
V1,regardlessifitispositionedininletoroutlet.
ConnectionPCBwiththepossibilityofV1andV2can receivepulsesfrombothelectronicandmechanicalflowsensors.
Thisenablesconnectionofalmostanytypeofflowsensorwithpulseoutput.Forflowsensorswith24Vactivepulse
output,seeparagraph8.4.
