Two‐way communication between M‐Bus and energy meter takes place via a digital isolator providing galvanic

Themodulesupportsbothprimary,secondaryandenhancedsecondaryaddressing.Themodulecancommunicateat
communicationspeedsof300,2400,9600or19200baudandautomaticallydetectsthespeedused.
TheoutputdatapackagecanbeconfiguredtoincludevariousregistercombinationsbymeansofthePC‐
programs

ThemoduleisfittedwithtwosetsofscrewterminalsforconnectiontotheM‐Busnetwork.TheM‐Buscablecanthus
beloopedthroughthemetersothattheuseofjunctionboxescanbeavoided.Theconnectionisindependentof
polarity.The
M‐Buscablemustbecoppertwistedpair.Maxcablesizeis1.5mm

ThisM‐Busmodulehasanoutputforconnectionofa24VAC,normallyopenornormallyclosed,thermalactuator,
whichissuppliedbythemodule’sexternalpowerconnection.ThermalDisconnectenablesremotediscon nectofthe
flow,e.g.
inconnectionwithenergymanagementandmaintenanceorasaresultofleakagedet ection.TheThermal
DisconnectsystemisphysicallyplacedontheM‐Busmodule,buttheoutputiscontrolledbyMULTICAL®bymeansof
commandsthataresentviatheM‐Busnetwork.Themoduleispower‐supplied
