02 Playing the voices | 23
PIANIST:
• Auto: The chord is recognized within a Note Range with a default value of 12. At least
three notes are needed to adapt the chord. After setting the chord, playing the notes
to the left of the chord, it is adjusted according to the notes added. Playing to the
right of the chord outside the Note Range does not change the chord even if more
than three notes are played.
• Advanced: The chord is recognized on the entire extension of the keyboard; it takes
at least three notes to adjust the chord. Once the chord is set, if you play up to two
notes no adjustment takes place; from the third note, the chord is adapted.
• Standard: The chord is recognized on the entire extension of the keyboard and is
always adjusted if you do not press the Sustain pedal. The chord remains "frozen"
until the pedal is released.
• Free Voice: If deactivated, turning on the Pianist button forces the voice change in
GRAND PIANO, otherwise the current item selected is left.
• To Lowest Tab: If active, turning on the Pianist button also forces the Bass to Lowest
button to turn on.
• Hold Voice 2: The function operates only in the Pianist Standard mode.
When you press the Sustain pedal, the notes output from the VOICE 2
remains held until the pedal is released.
BASSIST:
• Easy: If activated, the automatic bass is replaced by the manual bass: the chord is
frozen until you press at least three notes to the right of the split point to adjust the
chord.
• Expert: If activated, the automatic bass is replaced by the manual bass: playing to the
right of the split point, the chord is always adjusted, if you do not press the Sustain
pedal. The chord remains "frozen" until the pedal is released.
• Root Diminished: When you play some chords (Maj, Maj7, 7, 6, or min,
minM7, min7, min6), the bass plays the highest note of the chord (e.g., C, B,
Bb, A). If the Root Diminished function is enabled, the BASSIST button
activates/deactivates this mode. The function can be saved in the CUSTOM
STARTUP.
Sustain Pedal
• In Pianist mode, it acts when Standard is active: in addition to freezing the chord, the
pedal also acts as Sustain.
• Instead, in Bassist mode, when Expert is active, in addition to freezing the chord, the
pedal also acts as a Sustain.
