4. Open the Settings of your remote device.
5. Connect to the Wi-Fi network created by the instrument (recognizable
by a name like EVENT_xxxxxx).
6. Open the VNC client and connect to the IP address: 192.168.5.1, port 5900.
Connect an external video monitor
The HDMI port (if not occupied by one of the connections suggested in the previous
paragraph) can allow the display of texts on an external display other than the one used as a
control surface.
The screen mirroring mode is configurable on the Available Video page within the MENU
function.
Supported resolutions are 720p (1280x720) and Full HD (1920x1080).
Connect a pedal
EVM has three inputs for the pedals, each of these has different purposes.
Connect a switch pedal to the Sustain input to allow the sound to continue to
spread after releasing the note keys. If you don't have an original KETRON pedal,
make sure it has the ability to reverse polarity if it is otherwise.
Connect a Volume pedal to control the expression, i.e. the intensity of the sound
that is sent from the Out outputs (MIDI controller 11). This way you can avoid
taking your hands off the keyboard when you need to adjust the Master volume
slider in real time.
Connect an optional programmable foot pedal to the Footswitch input. Two
pedalboards are available: one with six switches (KETRON FS6) and one with 13
switches (KETRON FS13). This type of pedals can facilitate the most complex
operations in real time by controlling the different functions that can be assigned
On/Off: all the information is in the Footswitch chapter.
Connecting a MIDI device
The instrument offers four MIDI ports for standard five-pin DIN connectors:
MIDI THRU comes in handy in complex links where there are at least three MIDI
instruments and EVM is located at the centre of the connections.
MIDI OUT is useful for sending data to an external sound module.
