Options
1. Press the MANUAL button to turn the external keyboard of EVM into a percussion
controller.
2. Press the UP/DOWN buttons to scroll through the list of Drum Kits (factory and
USER) up two columns.
3. Touch the desired Drum Kit.
You can use the external keys on the keyboard (connected via MIDI) to play the various
DRUM KITS even with the style running. The volume is controlled by the same slider as the
DRUM part of the style.

Playing with chord progressions: Phrase
To effectively enrich your performances, use Phrases: they are chord progressions that, when
recorded in real time, can be played back in a loop to guide the style being played.
How Phrases works:
• PHRASE REC: How to create a new chord progression.
o If the style is not running, press the PHRASE REC. This turns red and
PHRASE REC (Wait for Start) appears. You can now set the initial chord
