8.2.2 Derating due to installation altitude
The following applies to all INVEOR α drive controllers:
 No reduction in performance is needed in S1 mode up to 1000m above sea level.
 A reduction in performance of 1% every 100 m is needed from 1000m ≥ 2000m. Overvoltage
category 3 is observed!
 Overvoltage category 2 should be observed from 2000 m ≥ 4000 m because of the lower air
pressure!
In order to observe the overvoltage category:
 use external overvoltage protection in the INVEOR α's mains cable.
 reduce the input voltage.
