12.1Removing the side covers

– Remove screws on both sides.
– Remove side covers on both sides.

Watch out for the projections on the inside cover.
12.2Installing the side covers

– Position side covers on both sides.
Info
Watch out for the projections on the inside cover.
– Mount and tighten screws on both sides.
Guideline
Remaining chassis screws M5 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)
12.3Removing the inside cover
– Switch off all power-consuming components and switch off the engine.
– Remove the seat. ( p. 32)
– Disconnect the negative (minus) cable of the battery.
– Remove the side covers. ( p. 36)

– Remove expanding rivet .

– Disconnect the plug-in connectors from generator and ignition pulse genera-
tor .
– Unscrew ground wire from the frame.
– Remove screw .

– Remove screws .
– Take off the left inside cover.
