As the above diagram shows, the component analog video and analog audio from the
VTR are synchronized and sent to the digital routing system as SDI video and
AES/EBU audio, respectively. Simultaneously, the SDI video and AES/EBU audio
from the routing system are transcoded and sent to the component video and analog
audio inputs of the VTR.
