If you are instructed to return the old RAID flash power module, follow all packaging instructions and use any
packaging materials that are provided.
OCP module replacement
Use this information to remove and install the OCP module.
Notes:
The OCP module is available only on some models.
If ThinkSystem Redundant System Management Port Adapter is installed on the server, it will not be
displayed on the PCIe card list of system management software, such as XCC, LXPM, and so on.
Remove the OCP module
Use this information to remove the OCP module.

Attention:
Read
“Installation Guidelines” on page 45 and “Safety inspection checklist” on page 46 to ensure that you
work safely.
Power off the server and disconnect all power cords for this task.
Prevent exposure to static electricity, which might lead to system halt and loss of data, by keeping static-
sensitive components in their static-protective packages until installation, and handling these devices with
an electrostatic-discharge wrist strap or other grounding system.

Step 1.
Loosen the thumbscrew that secures the adapter.
Step 2.
Pull out the OCP module by its handle on the left as shown.
