When replocing the two bolts, care must be taken to ensure that the bolt with the
bushing
is
fitted to the secondory side (trailing) and the steel bolt to the primary side
(leading in disc forward rotation). The two new bolts should be lightly smeared with
grease

Using the piston rotation tool turn the piston 45 to release the automatic adiuster
(see
fig.&). Remove some brake fluid from the fluid reservoir to avoid overflowin

.
Push the piston back to the start position
ond turn the piston to engage the ratchet of
the adiuster (see fig

When replacing disc pads, the bolts should always be renewed (self lockin

First fit the primary side of the hydraulic housing together with the retaining screw

Operate the brake pedal several tirnes to allow the adiusters to take up the correct
brake operating position, check broke fluid and top up
if
necessary. The application
of the brakes while stationary must not be overlooked as the brokes do not work
correctly until pads are in the correct workin
g
position.
IMPORTANT:
After fitting new pads, care must be taken when brakin
g
; brake
several times from
50
mph (80 kph) to 30 mph (50 kph) and only
brake fully when system has cooled down.
If
brokes are applied too
C
sharply when new pods hove been fitted, the surface of the pads will
burn and irre

will occur, resultin
g
in loss of braking
efficiency.
WARNING:
If
a caliper
is
damoged due to loss of brake fluid or mechanical
defects a new coliper should be fitted. We recommend fitting an
axle set.
BLEEDING

Remove the fluid reservoir cap and
fill
up with clean fluid.
