Insert dipstick (tool number
32447)
with the angled 'stop' towards highest part of
L
compressor, just inside the plug hole. Align the angled bottom of the 'stop' with
the top surface of the oil filler hole, and insert the dipstick until it reaches the
'stop'.
6.
Remove the dipstick and count the number of increments covered with oil.
7.
Compare the measurement taken in

(compressor angle) and the oil level
increment with those shown in following table.

the increments indicated on the dipstick do not fall between the figures given
in the above table, odd or subtract oil until the mid

range figure
is
achieved.

Refit oil filler and tighten to

ft. Ibs. (0.8 to

not twisted and that the 0

ring seating
is
clean before fitting. Do not
overtighten

charge the system with
refrigerant
as previously described.

the air conditioning system
has its required charge of refrigerant.
This
check facilitates system diagnosis by pin

pointing the problem to the amount of charge in the system, or by eliminating this
possibility from the overall diagnosis.
