TESTING
1.
The reel will lock when the car
is
stopped sudderlly or accelerated

Any
change of speed in any direction, which iricludes turning,
will lack the reel.

The reel should run free when the car
is
stationary and when the car
is
travelling at a constant speed.
3.
The recommerided method of testing the seat belts on the road
is
to
use a brake testing meter. The rneter should give a reading of
50%
when the reel
is
locked.
If
a deacceleration greater than
500?
is
required to lock the reel,
then the belt must be replaced.
