HEADLAMP POD ADJUSTMENTS
To adjust the 'up' positiori of the pod, the damper on the heodlomp
jack spring
ossembly, in the front comportment, can be repositioned by the nyloc nut on the
jack
spring shaft. Screwing in the nut closes down the pod and screwing out the
nut opens up the pod.
Finally check the 'up' and 'down' free
-
play in the lamp pod ond adjust out as much
free
-
play as possible using the odjustirig nut. Take core not to over or under odjust
as this may bend the linkoge.
INSTRUMENT
BINNACLE
All the instruments
are contained in a binnacle fitted to the sloping front window
sill
over the steering column. Switches ond controls ore mounted on the angled
side ponels in the binnacle and the indicator lamps and meter on the centre panel.
TO
REMOVE
1.
Unscrew the switch ponels on eoch side of the binnacle orid dis
-
connect electrical connections.
2.
The heater control ponel con now be uncoupled and the hoses dis
-
connected from the vents. To uncouple the heater control remove
the two control knobs (pull off) ond unscrew the heater control
lever ossembly from the back of the mounting plate.
3.
Release the two bolts securing the front of the binnacle to the
instrument
ponel mounting bracket. Remove the two self topping
screws at the
reor of the binnacle, near the windscreen. Lift the
binnacle
clear of the heater control lever ossembly, hoses, drive
cables arid wiring.
