To Remove

Drain the cooling system OS described in the COOLING SYSTEM section of this manti~l
Disconnect the battery terminals.
From inside the front comportment remove the following:

Unscrew and remove the cover over the motor assembly on the front compartment
bulkhead.

Disconnect the wires to the motor, unscrew the two screws securing the motor assembl}
and pull out the motor assembly.

Remove the vacuum pipe from the vent flap actuator and push back the wires, that
were connected to the motor, through into the interior of the vehicle.
5.
Unscrew the two screws securing the brocket holding the outboard end of the small
vent flap. Release the other end of the
flap, where it is retalned In the octuator
mounting bracket, using an Allen Key. Remove the small vent flap.
S. ThiDugh . the aperture now exposed, when small vent flap removed, remove the screw
securing the water valve to the top of the

edal box. Release hose cli
p
on inlet
water hose, from underneath the vehicle, and pull off Inlet water hose. Do not
removethe other hose on the valve, it is connected to the unit. Disconnect the
cantrol.cable to the water valve at the solderless nipple.

Unscrew and remove the four screws securing the dividing panel, these are located
three, dawn one side and one near the top edge of the other side,
po not attempt to
remwe panel at this stage.
From inside the vehicle
(~assenger side) remove the following:

Remove the binnacle, facia and tunnel trim assemblies, to
g
ether with the radio, :r
fitted. This will expose the two flexible hoses to the vents, pull off the flexible
hoses from the top pipe connectors.

Unscrew the three screws securing the nozzle assembly and remove nozzle.

Disconnect drain pipe at bottom of unit on passenger side footwell.
