PROBLEM 8
A load drum does not operate.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Load drum brake not releasing, no voltage through control handle to controller, no voltage out of
controller to pump EDC, node controller fault, wiring or switch is damaged.
CHECKS
On the drum Diagnostic screen is the drum brake disengaged when the problem handle is moved in the problem
direction? Does the drum Diagnostic screen indicate a problem with the pump, motor, brake, or pawl?

Does the engine load when moving the problem handle in either direction?
Is the drum park brake switch in the correct position?
Yes No

Are 28 volts present at the brake solenoid when
the problem handle is moved? (See Section 2 -
Manual Override Test.)

Is there power after the switch?
Move the switch to
the correct position.
Repair or replace the wiring or switch.
When moving the problem handle fully in both directions, does the drum Diagnostic
screen show 100% handle command in the raise or lower direction?

When moving the problem handle fully in both
directions, does drum Diagnostic screen show
100% pump control in each direction?
Yes No
Is voltage at the problem handle
more than 0 with handle moved?

Correct the problem.

Is pressure at the brake more than 21 bar
