PROBLEM 13
The boom/mast hoist will not reach the maximum speed.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Partial control voltage from the handle to the controller, partial control voltage
from the controller to the pump EDC, motor controller in low, pump or motor damaged.
When moving the boom/mast hoist control handle fully in
both directions, does the Diagnostic screen show 100%
handle command in the raise or lower direction?

Voltage and/or Coil not Ok
When moving the boom/mast hoist control handle fully in both directions,
does the Diagnostic screen show 100% pump control in each direction?
Repair the wiring/consult your Manitowoc
dealer or the Crane Care Lattice Team.
Check for control voltage and coil resistance of 17 to 19 ohms at the pump EDC or to
26 ohms at Motor PCP. (See Section 3 - Checking Electrical Inputs/Outputs.)
Check for pump and motor leakage. (See
Section 2 - Motor Leakage Test.)
Repair or replace the coil or wiring.
Clean or replace the orifice.
Remove the plug at motor port M5 and check the orifice for
obstructions. (See Section 2 - Motor Components.)

Check the boom/mast hoist drum speed screen for 100% reading.
