8.9 Pump transfer case
8.9.1 General inspection
• Pay attention to any unusual running noises from the transmission.
• Check the connections on the transmission for leaks. If consumables are
leaking;
à Check the oil level, P. 8 - 65.
If any damage is found, report it to
Manitowoc Crane Care or an authorised
GROVE-dealer.
8.9.2 Check the oil level

Prerequisites – The truck crane must be level.
– The engine must not be running and must be secured against unauthor-
ised use;

Check the oil level
• Remove the drain plug (1).
• Check that the oil reaches the lower edge of
the opening.
• Fit a new gasket and tighten the screw (1).
If the oil level is too low
• Fill the oil up to the lower edge of the open-
ing;
