7.8 Axle lines
• Also adhere to the à Run-in regulations, P. 4 - 1.
7.8.1 General inspection
• Investigate any unusual running noises from the axle centre drives and
the final drives.
• Check the axle centre drives/final drives and the connections for leaks. If
consumables are leaking;
à Axle centre drives – checking the oil level, P. 7 - 55,
à Final drives – Checking the oil level, P. 7 - 59.
• Check that pipes and hoses are tightly connected and undamaged.
If any damage is found, report it to
Manitowoc Crane Care or an authorised
GROVE dealer or an authorised specialist workshop.
7.8.2 Axle centre drives – checking the oil level

Prerequisites – The truck crane must be raised on outriggers or parked over an inspection
pit.

engine must not be running and must be secured against unauthor-
ised use;
