5-22 Image Optimization
5.7 Anatomical M Mode
CAUTION:
Anatomical M images and Color Anatomical M images are
provided for reference only, not for confirming a diagnosis.
Please compare the image with that of other machines, or make
diagnosis using none-ultrasound methods.
5.7.1 Free Xros M Imaging
For an image in the traditional M mode, the M-mark line goes along the beams
transmitted from the probe. Thus it is difficult to obtain a good plane for difficult-to-image
patients that cannot be moved easily. However, in the anatomical M mode, you can
manipulate the M-mark line to move to any position at desired angles. The system
supports anatomical M scanning (including Free Xros M mode and Free Xros CM mode)
in 2D imaging modes (B, Color, Power and TVI mode).
îš„ Shortcut key for Free Xros M mode
Assign a user-defined shortcut key for Free Xros M: [Setup] → [System Preset] →
[Key Config]. Please refer to "12.1.6 Key Configuration" for details.
5.7.1.1 Basic Procedure
1. In real-time 2D mode or M mode, adjust the probe and image to obtain the desired
plane.
Or select the desired 2D cine files.
2. Click [Free Xros M] on the menu or press the user-defined key to enter Free Xros M
mode.
3. Adjust the M-mark (single or multiple) line to obtain optimized images and necessary
information.
îš„ In Dual-split or Quad-split mode, it is the current activated window that enters the
Free Xros M mode.
Free Xros M imaging is supported on frozen B image, B+M image and
B+Power/Color/TVI image.
5.7.1.2 Free Xros M Image Parameters
îš„ During real-time Free Xros M mode imaging, menus for B mode, Free Xros M mode
and other modes are displayed in the soft menu at the same time, use the left/right
keys of soft menu directional controls to switch the menus.
îš„ While imaging in freeze mode, menus of image optimization for B mode, Free Xros
M mode and other modes are displayed in the soft menu at the same time. Use the
left/right keys of soft menu directional controls to switch the menus.
îš„ Parameters consistent with those in M mode are not to be introduced, please refer to
relevant section of the M mode, while special items of the Free Xros M mode will be
introduced in the following.
Display or Hide the M-mark Line
Description There are 3 M-mark lines available, each with a symbol of "A", "B" or "C"
at the one end as identification and an arrow on the other end as a mark
for direction.
