 None of the available features are supported unless at least one switch on the Main Site LAN supports SNMP with bridge MIB
support.
 Monitoring of telephones requires at least one switch at the remote site that supports SNMP with bridge MIB support.
 HUBs are never recommended for use with VoIP except to mirror a single port.
 Telephones connected to a HUB cannot be discovered and therefore cannot be monitored.
 The IVM should always be optimally positioned where it can monitor a majority of the telephone traffic.
 Active tests can be performed only between switches that are configured to be managed by an IVM appliance. When the
Discovery process is unsuccessful, only schedule-triggered Active Tests can be performed between these switches.
