representative can still directly connect to port 2 for troubleshooting when the port is
configured for LME. However, they must configure the laptop with a valid IP address
on the same subnet as Port 2.

Configure LME to have the library manage the encryption enrollment and key
delivery of all IBM LTO-6 or higher drives.
View Drive Information
The Drives table displays the type, location, and state of each drive in the library.
1. In the remote interface, select Drives in the left menu.
2. For more options, select a drive and then right-click or use the Actions drop-
down.
3. Note the drive state. The library polls the drive approximately every 10 seconds.
Possible states are:
Empty
Cleaning
Loading
Loaded
Reading
Writing
Rewinding
Unloading

half-height SAS and FC drives.
Configure Drive Cleaning
Manage drive cleaning in one of three ways: library-managed, host-managed, or
manually.
LTO drives may require occasional cleaning with a compatible cleaning cartridge. The
drive will notify the library or host application when it requires cleaning. Select your
method of managing drive cleaning:
Enable Library-Managed Drive Auto Cleaning
Configure Host-Managed Drive Cleaning
Manually Clean a Drive (Not Recommended)
