Requirements:
Maximum of eight partitions (code versions before 2.0 only support two partitions)
Each partition must have it's own bridged drive
Each partition must have at least one magazine
Mailslot must be closed, locked, and empty before changing the partitioning
configuration

Bridged Tape Drives
A bridged drive provides a single, unified control and data communication path
between the library/partition and the host using the SAS or FC drive interface.
Access the Partitioning Screen
Access the "Configure Library Partitioning" screen through the configuration wizard.
Pre-requisite: Tapes cannot be in the mailslot while configuring partitioning.
1. Run the Configuration Wizard.
2. Select Configure Library Settings, and then click Next.
3. From the "Library Partitioning:" drop-down, select Partitioning On, and then click
Next.
4. If at any point you do not wish to proceed, click Previous or Cancel.
Create a New Partition
Create a partition to segregate library resources. Each partition appears as a separate
library to host applications
For each partition select a name, a bridged drive, and the label format.
1. Access the Partitioning Screen.
2. Click Add Partition.
3. Enter the Partition Name.
4. Select a Bridged Drive from the list. Each partition must have a bridged drive.
5. Select a Volume Label Format from the list.
6. Add additional partitions as necessary.
7. Assign Resources to the Partition.
