CHART 7101. TROUBLESHOOTING (ENGINE) (CONT)
Rough running engine. Cracked engine mounts. Repair or replace engine
mount.
Unbalanced propeller. Remove propeller and have
it checked for balance.
Bend propeller blades. Check propeller for track.
Defective mounting bushings. Install new mounting bush-
ings.
Uneven compression. Check compression.
Lead deposit on spark plug. Clean or replace plugs.
Malfunctioning engine. Check entire engine.
Low oil pressure. Insufficient oil. Check oil supply.
Dirty oil screens. Remove and clean oil
screens.
Defective pressure gauge. Replace gauge.
Air lock or dirt in relief Remove and clean oil pres
valve. sure relief valve.
Leak in suction line or pres- Check gasket between ac-
sure line. cessory housing crankcase.
High oil temperature. See High Oil Temperature
in Trouble Column.
Stoppage in oil pump intake Check line for obstruction.
passage. Clean suction strainer.
Worn or scored bearings. Overhaul.
High oil temperature. Insufficient air cooling. Check air inlet and outlet
for deformation or obstruc

Insufficient oil supply. Fill oil sump to proper level
with specified oil.
