7.3 Mains Types
7.3.1 TN-S Mains Type
The TN-S mains type is the usual mains type in Europe.
T = Direct grounding of a point (station ground)
N = Exposed conductive parts directly connected to station ground
S = Separate neutral conductor and equipment grounding conductor in en‐
tire mains

T = Direct grounding of a point (station ground)
N = Exposed conductive parts directly connected to station ground
C = Neutral conductor and equipment grounding conductor functions in
entire mains combined in a single conductor, the PEN conductor.
