Channels
11-16
When a
PR-300
is
connected
to
a Rodgers organ
with
sequencing
capability,
channels
11-16
are
used
to
record
and
playback the organ.
For
this
reason, these channels should be set to "EXT".
This
is
accomplished
by
setting
the
"ORGAN"
switch located
on
the back panel
of
the PR-300
to
"EXT".
Please confirm that this switch
is
set
to
"EXT".
If
this switch is set to "!NT", then channels 11-16 will
be
used
to
play internal sounds
of
the PR-300 and
the Rodgers organ will
not
play.
If
you
do
want
to
use channels 11-16
to
play
an
external
MIDI
keyboard
or
Rodgers
organ,
then
this switch can
be
set to "!NT",
and
channels 11-16
will
be
used
to
play internal PR-300 sounds.

ORGAN INT/EXT SWITCH
r
I
When using the PR-300 to control
a Rodgers organ, this switch
should be set to "EXT".
It's time
to
show how sounds
of
the PR-300 can
be
played from
an external MIDI keyboard
or
Rodgers organ. As many
of
our
customers will
be
using the PR-300 with a Rodgers organ, the
following examples will show operating procedures for both the
PR-300 and a Rodgers organ.
If
you are using something other than a Rodgers organ to control
the
PR-300.
simply
use
whatever
operating
procedures
are
required for the equipment you
are
using to achieve the desired
result.
In the default settings described above. channels 1-9 can
be
used
to play any
of
the PR-300's 317 instruments. and channel 10 can
be
used to play any
of
the 10 different
drum
kits inside the PR-
300.
Let's start
by
playing a PR-300 instrument on
channell
from the
Rodgers organ. (please note:
LTG
MIDI Phase II Organs use
MIDI
channel 2
instead
of
MIDI
channel

in
the
following
situations.
If
you are using an
