Automatically Setting a Comfortable Volume (Auto Mastering Eect)
Based on “loudness” (an index of perceptual volume), this automatically adjusts the volume appropriately for broadcast. Loudness measurement can be
either long-term or short-term; these dier in the interval of time to which volume adjustment applies.
ÁLoudness Auto Gain Control (LOUDNESS AGC)
The long-term average loudness is measured, and the volume is adjusted so that it is appropriate overall. Use this for audio whose dynamics you want to
preserve, such as music.
Loudness Auto Gain Control (LOUDNESS AGC)
1. Press the MAIN [SETUP] button.
The AUDIO OUTPUT screen appears.
2. Touch <MAIN BUS>.
The MAIN bus setup screen appears.
3. Touch <LOUDNESS AUTO GAIN CONTROL>.
The loudness auto gain control setup screen appears.
4. Touch <TARGET LKFS> to set the target level for the output
audio.
5. Touch <ON/OFF> to turn this “ON”.
Loudness auto gain control function turns on.
6. Touch <SENS> and then use the [VALUE] knob to adjust the
sensitivity, adjusting the speed at which the target level
(TARGET LKFS) is approached.
* High settings make the loudness approach the target level rapidly,
and low settings make the loudness approach the target level
gradually.
7. To reset the adjusted value and return to the original state,
touch <FORGET LEARNING>.

8. Press the lit [SETUP] button to close the setup screen.
