COUNTER STATUS (SOH + ME)
Upon Receipt of an SOH (hexadecimal 01) followed immediately by an ASCII ME
causes the printer to return a 28 byte Head Counter Status Word bounded by an STX-
ETX pair that reports the current status of the printer life counters.
