Encoder values of MOVIDRIVE
®
B via backplane bus:
– Both incremental and absolute encoder information can be sent via the backplane
bus of MOVIDRIVE
®
B.
– The incremental encoder values of MOVIDRIVE
®
B that are sent to the DCS..B
option via backplane bus of MOVIDRIVE
®
B (backplane bus inc.) can be used as
"encoder 1".
– Absolute values of MOVIDRIVE
®
B that are sent to the DCS..B option via backplane
bus of MOVIDRIVE
®
B (backplane bus abs.) can be used as "encoder 2". When
using the absolute value via backplane bus, you have to adjust parameter Cut-off
threshold incr.
– The number of pulses of the encoder values of MOVIDRIVE
®
via the backplane bus
is always 4096 pulses per revolution after starting up the encoders in
MOVIDRIVE
®
B.
INFORMATION
• If you use encoder values of MOVIDRIVE
®
B via backplane bus, the DCS..B option
triggers alarm message A3303/3304 "Positioning detection plausibility" when
MOVIDRIVE
®
B is referenced because the value in the MOVIDRIVE
®
B jumps
briefly.
This alarm message can be acknowledged by resetting the DCS..B option.
• For reasons of safety, signals that are sent to the DCS..B option via the backplane
bus of MOVIDRIVE
®
B cannot be used as "encoder 1" and "encoder 2" simultane-
ously.
