6.7.4 PROFIsafe process image
The status of the safety functions sent via PROFIsafe can be read in MOVISAFE
®
Con-
fig by choosing [Process Diagnostics] / [Safety Bus] / [PROFIsafe] / [Process Image]
(see below figure).
The process image for PROFIsafe includes a subset of the process image of the
DCS21B/22B. The process input and output data have 64 bits each according to
PROFIsafe requirements:
• 32 bits (data type: BOOLEAN) for input/output states and the safety functions
• 32 bits (data type: double integer) for position value
INFORMATION
•The Pos_Factor for internal normalization depends on the selected encoder
settings. It is managed exclusively by the DCS21B/22B option and can not be set
separately.
• The accuracy of the transmitted value changes because scaling does not take
account of decimal points. Bear this in mind for further processing.
