Safety Instructions
Both users and professional service engineers should be sure to follow the safety-related
instructions given here. To fully understand the safety instructions related to each product, be
sure to carefully read each related Operation Manual and/or Installation Manual.
(Items 2. and 3. are intended only for professional service engineers.)
Operating Precautions when Using Electrical Medical Equipment
(for Both Safety and the Prevention of Danger)
1. Only qualified radiographic staff should operate the equipment.
2. During installation:
(1) Do not install the equipment near water supplies or equipment using water.
(2) Do not install the equipment where extreme atmospheric pressures,
temperatures or humidity, drafts, direct sunlight, dust, chlorine or sulfur gas
are present.
(3) During transportation and operation of the equipment, avoid tilting, vibration
and strong impacts.
(4) Do not install the equipment where chemicals or gases are stored.
(5) Be sure to use only the specified electrical power source with the
appropriate frequency, voltage and current (or power consumption).
(6) Check the condition of the battery’s power source (power and polarity)
before operating the equipment.
(7) Properly ground the equipment.
3. Prior to operating the equipment:
(1) Check the conditions of switch contacts, polarity, dial settings, and meters,
and confirm that the equipment performs correctly.
(2) Confirm that the ground is properly connected.
(3) Check that all cords, cables, and other wiring are correctly connected.
(4) Be careful when simultaneously using more than one unit, since it can be
dangerous and lead to an incorrect diagnosis.
(5) Check all external electrical circuits, which are directly connected to a
patient.
(6) Check the condition of the battery’s power source.
