eLevel The current attenuation value is below the
warning threshold. The warning threshold
depends on the distance between the
measuringdeviceandthereector.→ For
recommended attenuation values, see
Page 32, Table 6.
• Cleantheopticalinterfaceslikethereec-
tor and the lens.
• Reduce the distance between the measur-
ingdeviceandthereector.
• Use a distance measuring device with a
larger scanning range. → See Page 120,
Chapter 16.
eTemp The internal temperature of the device is
outside the permissible range.
→ For the permissible ambient temperature,
see Page 119, Chapter 15.8.
• Check the ambient temperature. Provide
better ventilation if necessary.
• Shield the device from radiated heat, e.g.,
shade the measuring device from direct
sunlight.
• At low ambient temperatures, use a heat-
ing system for the device.
• At high ambient temperatures, use a
cooling housing.

Device error Hardware • Check supply voltage and wiring.
→ For electrical connection Page 36,
Chapter 7.
• Switchthesupplyvoltageoandon.
• Return the measuring device for repairs.
The internal temperature of the device is
outside the permissible range.
→ For the permissible ambient temperature,
see Page 119, Chapter 15.8.
• Wait for the warm-up phase of the mea-
suring device. Let the measuring device
cool down.
• Check the ambient temperature. Provide
better ventilation if necessary.
• Shield the device from radiated heat, e.g.,
shade the measuring device from direct
sunlight.
• At low ambient temperatures, use a heat-
ing system for the device.
• At high ambient temperatures, use a
cooling housing.

Keep a replacement device ready for use.
The current attenuation value is below the
recommended attenuation value. The recom-
mended attenuation value depends on the
distance between the measuring device and
thereector.→ For recommended attenua-
tion values, see Page 32, Table 6.
