device name.
DevicenameandIPaddressaredenedasfollows:
• You adopt the device name allocated for the DL100 Pro PROFINET IO by
thenetworkengineeringtooloryoucongureaunique,system-specic
device name with the aid of the network engineering tool.
• The IO controller assigns the IP address based on the device name.

distance measuring device:
1. Double-click the symbol of the DL100 Pro PROFINET IO in the network
engineering tool. The Properties dialog box will open.
2. Select the “General” tab.
3. Enter the device name of the DL100 Pro PROFINET IO.
4. Please issue a new IP address.
10.2 Modules for cyclical data transmission
The distance measuring device is a so-called modular PROFINET IO slave.
The composition of the sent and received data structure of a modular slave
is variable and consists of several individual modules.
Themodulescanbeselectedanddenedbyuserstakingintoaccountthe
following conditions:
• Maximum number of modules: 16
• Maximum total length of the process data: 48 input bytes and 32 output
bytes
Themodulescanbeusedtoexiblyadjustthedistancemeasuringdevice
fordierentcontroltasks.Theindividualmoduleswiththeirrespective
propertiesaredescribedintheGSDle.
