10.3.1 Module 1: “Distance /i2w”
Type Input module, 2 words, consistent
Description Thismodulereadsthecurrentdistancevalueaccordingtotheosetand
resolution settings.
Note Iftherewasnovalidmeasuredvalueduetoadevicefault,amissingreec-
tor or contamination, then the value 0 is output for the distance and the
corresponding bits are set in the status bytes.

Name Description
Resolution Determines the resolution of the distance value on the
PROFINET interface. 1 digit can correspond to 0.1 mm,
0.125 mm, 1 mm, 10 mm or 100 mm.

• 10 mm
• 100 mm
• free Distance Resolution [µm]
Default value
• 0.1 mm
Free distance
resolution
Determines the resolution of the distance value on the
PROFINET interface if the “free Distance Resolution [µm]”
value has been selected in the “Resolution” parameter.

• 1 ... 100,000 µm

• 100 µm
