10.3.3 Module 3: „Speed/i2w”
Type Input module, 2 words, consistent
Description This module reads the currently ascertained speed according to the
selected resolution.
Note If there was no valid measured value due to a device fault, a missing
reectororcontamination,thenthevalue“0”isoutputforthedistance
and the corresponding bits are set in the status bytes.

resolution, a digit corresponds to 0.1 mm/s to 100 mm/s.

Name Description
Resolution Determines the resolution of the speed value on the PROFINET
interface. 1 digit can correspond to 0.1 mm/s, 1 mm/s,
10 mm/s or 100 mm/s.

• 10 mm/s
• 100 mm/s
• free Speed Resolution [µm/s]
Default value
• 1 mm/s
Free speed

Determines the resolution of the speed value on the PROFINET
interface if the “free Speed Resolution [µm/s]” value has been
selected in the “Resolution” parameter.

• 1 ... 100,000 µm/s

• 1,000 µm/s
