Output values
(continued)
Rel. Adr. Description
0.31 Bit 31 is not set (0):
The value in bits 0…29 is adopted as the new preset value,
althoughtheosetisnotrecalculated.Theoutputdistance
valueisnotinuenced.
Bit 31 is set (1):
The values in bits 0...29 are adopted as the new preset
value. The preset function is also called up. This function
calculatesanewosetsothat,fromnowon,thedistance
withthenewlycalculatedosetvalueisoutputatthecur-
rentdistance.Allparametersarethenwrittenintheash
memory.
If bit 30 is set, bit 31 is ignored.

Name Description
Resolution Determines the resolution of the distance value on the
PROFINET interface; 1 digit can be 0.1 mm, 0.125 mm, 1 mm,
10 mm or 100 mm.
Value range
0.1 mm
0.125 mm
1 mm
10 mm
100 mm
free Distance Resolution [µm]
Default value
0.1 mm
Free distance
resolution
Determines the resolution of the distance value on the PROF-
INET interface if the “free Distance Resolution [µm]” value has
been selected in the “Resolution” parameter.
Value range
1 ... 100,000 µm
Default value

10.3.6 Module 6: “Time/i4w, Distance/i2w”
Type Input module, 6 words, consistent
Description Thismodulereadsthecurrentdistancedependingontheosetandresolu-
tion settings. In addition, the module contains the time stamp for the time
at which the measured value was recorded.
Notes Iftherewasnovalidmeasuredvalueduetoadevicefault,amissingreec-
