10 PROFINET IO interface
The DL100 Pro PROFINET IO distance measuring device supports Ethernet
networks with a transmission speed of 100 Mbit/s and PROFINET RT,
ConformanceClassBinaccordancewithPROFINETspecicationV2.33.
The Auto negotiation, auto crossover and full duplex functions are also im-
plemented. The DL100 Pro features an integrated dual port switch and can
be used in a star or line topology. Among others, the following functions
are supported by the device: Media Redundancy (MRP), Topology Detection
(LLDP), Device Replacement without exchangeable medium/PG function
and MIB/SNMP.

The following I&M functions are supported:
• I&M0:Deviceidentication
• I&M1:Userscanentersystemandlocationidentication(AKZandOKZ)
• I&M2: Installation date
• I&M3: Description of the function
• I&M4:Signature(congCRC)
• I&M5:Interfaceidentication
The software revision of the IMO I&M function describes the version of
the PROFINET interface and is not identical to the version number of the
sensorrmware.
10.1 Deviceconguration
DL100 Pro distance measuring devices have a PROFINET IO interface. The
devicesareconguredusingthegenericstationdescription(GSD).
When using the “SSI” interface exclusively, parameterization can either
be done via the display or SOPAS ET. When using the “SSI” and PROFINET
IO interfaces at the same time, parameterization is only done via the
PROFINET IO GSD modules.
