10.3.5 Module 5: “Distance/i2w, Preset Dyn./o2w”
Type Input and output module, 2 words, consistent
Description Thismodulereadsthecurrentdistancevalueaccordingtotheosetand
resolution settings. The preset value is changed when writing the module.
If the maximum bit (bit 31) is set, the preset function can be called up to
calculateanewoset.Settingbit30resetsthepresetandtheoset.
Notes Apresetorosetvaluechangedbythismoduleisalwayspermanently
adopted,andisnotlostwhenthedeviceisswitchedo.Sinceallchanged
andunchangedparametersarewrittenintheashmemory,theoutputof
measured values is only available for a short time.
Settingbit30resetsthepresetandosetvalueto“0”.Ifbit30isset,the
setting of bit 31 is ignored.
Iftherewasnovalidmeasuredvalueduetoadevicefault,amissingreec-
tor or contamination, then the value “0” is output for the distance and the
corresponding bits are set in the status bytes.

to 0.1 mm to 100 mm.
