The DL100 Pro distance measuring device consists of the optics, a sender/
receiver unit, and an evaluation unit. The sender emits the laser beam.
Thereceiverreceivesthelightreectedfromareector.Theevaluation
electronicsdeterminethedistancebetweenthesensorandthereector
usingtime-of-ightmeasurement.
Forthemeasurement,eitherthereectororthemeasuringdevicecan
move in a linear fashion along the laser beam.
TheDL100ProdistancemeasuringdeviceisttedwithtwoEthernetports
and an SSI interface. The Ethernet interfaces are for communication via
PROFINET IO, and for diagnostics and parameterization via SOPAS ET. The
two interfaces are of equal status and are internally connected to a switch.
The measured distance is transferred via the “PROFINET IO” and “SSI”
interfaces and can be used for control purposes or in a position control
loop, for example. Both interfaces can be operated both individually and
simultaneously.
