10.3.2 Module 2: “Distance/i1w”
Type Input module, 1 word, consistent
Description Thismodulereadsthecurrentdistancevalueaccordingtotheosetand
resolution settings. Compared to module 1, this module consists only of a
16 bit number.
Note If the permitted range of values of 16 bit is undercut, the following truncat-
ed values are output as error values:
Value smaller than –32767: –32768 (Hex 0x8000) is output.
Value is greater than 32766: 32767 (hex 0x7FFF) is output.
Iftherewasnovalidmeasuredvalueduetoadevicefault,amissingreec-
tor or contamination, then the value “0” is output for the distance and the
corresponding bits are set in the status bytes.
Input values
Rel. Adr. Description
0 Current distance in selected resolution with regard to the
oset.Dependingontheresolution,adigitcorrespondsto0.1
to 100 mm.
Type
Signed 16-bit number in two´s complement (possibly trun-
